Set it up

  1. Claude (web or desktop)

    Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it VC Boom and paste:

    Sign in to VC Boom when asked and click Allow.

  2. Claude Code

    claude mcp add --transport http vcboom https://www.vcboom.com/api/mcp

    Then run /mcp in Claude Code and choose Authenticate.

  3. Codex

What it can't do

  • Send email. Drafts only. You send from VC Boom.
  • Export the database. No export tool, no contact details in lists or search, daily caps on how many investors it can open.
  • See anyone else's account. It acts as you, and only you.
  • Touch billing or settings. Disconnect anytime from Settings.

Questions

What is an MCP connector?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard Claude, Claude Code and Codex use to connect to outside tools. Once VC Boom is connected, the assistant can read your deck score, matches and pipeline and act on them when you ask.
Which plans include it?
Boom and Big Bang. Spark and Free accounts can see this page and the setup steps, and get access when they upgrade.
Can Claude send emails to investors for me?
No. The connector drafts and edits emails only. Every draft waits in your pipeline at vcboom.com, and you send it yourself.
Can it export the investor database?
No. There is no export tool. Lists and search results never include contact details, and the number of investors you can open per day is capped (300 on Boom, 750 on Big Bang).
Who can see my data?
Only the assistant you connect, signed in as you. Every connection shows in your VC Boom settings, and Disconnect revokes it straight away.
Does it work with ChatGPT and Codex?
It works with Claude (web, desktop and Claude Code) and Codex today. Any client that supports remote MCP with OAuth can connect to the same URL.
